On August 14, 2026, ATAF\u2013Airports of Thailand (AOT) representatives and FineVT Robotics LAB held a strategic business meeting at the FineVT Robotics LAB office in the Republic of Korea. The meeting was led by Mr. Sejin Oh, Research Director of FineVT Robotics LAB, with the participation of key stakeholders from both countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting focused on expanding Korea\u2013Thailand cooperation in advanced unmanned aviation, Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Manned\u2013Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T), and integrated Counter-UAS solutions for defense installations and civil aviation facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants discussed opportunities to jointly research, develop, demonstrate, install, and operate mission-oriented solutions tailored to the operational environments of Korea and Thailand. Key areas of cooperation included UAM operational infrastructure, unmanned aircraft traffic management, vertiport security, AI-based integrated surveillance, drone detection and identification, multi-sensor data fusion, secure communications, and protection against unauthorized or hostile drones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For defense applications, the two sides explored the potential deployment of MUM-T and Counter-UAS capabilities at military bases, airfields, strategic facilities, border areas, and other critical infrastructure. The proposed cooperation may include the integration of UAVs and ground systems, AI-enabled command and control, secure data links, anti-jamming and anti-spoofing technologies, and layered Counter-UAS systems combining radar, RF detection, EO\/IR sensors, and appropriate mitigation measures. <\/p>\n\n\n

For civil aviation, the discussion covered the introduction of UAM and Counter-UAS solutions at international and regional airports in Korea and Thailand. The objective is to support safe UAM operations while strengthening airport protection against unauthorized drone incursions. Cooperation areas may include site surveys, operational requirements analysis, system design, technology validation, pilot demonstrations, installation, operator training, maintenance, and long-term technical support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting also emphasized the importance of developing localized solutions that comply with the aviation regulations, security requirements, frequency policies, and operational procedures of both countries. FineVT Robotics LAB intends to support cooperation with relevant government agencies, airport operators, defense organizations, research institutions, and local industry partners to establish a sustainable Korea\u2013Thailand business and technology ecosystem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this strategic engagement, FineVT Robotics LAB seeks to expand bilateral cooperation from technology exchange to practical demonstration and deployment projects. The long-term goal is to create safer, smarter, and more resilient defense and civil aviation environments while establishing a foundation for joint R&D, local installation and maintenance, professional training, and future expansion into Southeast Asian markets.<\/p>\n\n\n
